Wellness pays:

promoting workplace wellness in small businesses

One of the primary goals of the Small Business Wellness Initiative was to develop a strategic and aggressive community outreach model that could be replicated by other organizations nationwide.

To our knowledge, the project is the first program to deliver evidence-based health promotion to the small business sector.  Accordingly, the SBWI team diligently documented all lessons learned in the areas of outreach, needs assessment, employee enrollment, recruitment and retention, as well as balance of research and service delivery and general project management. The initiative used these documented lessons to develop and issue this replication manual. The replication manual serves as an implementation guide to organizations that wish to emulate or engage in complementary or similar health promotion initiatives.
