WELLNESS LUNCHEON TO ADDRESS IMPACT ON BOTTOM LINE Businesses in North Texas
are invited to learn how wellness programs can impact their bottom line
at the Wellness Pays Luncheon on Tuesday, August 10. The initiative, a community
collaborative project funded by the Department of Health and Human Services,
will also discuss the results of a research study on the effectiveness
of health promotion and wellness programs conducted in small businesses
in Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties. “Businesses that invest
in employee health and wellness reap the financial rewards through savings
on health care costs, disability pay, absenteeism, employee turnover
and safety problems.”
